I took statins for about five years, the only prescription med taken at the time, I started getting numbness and pain in feet and hands, or “stocking and glove” distribution of numbness, and after a few years of suffering and no answers, was finally sent to get a skin punch biospy, and diagnosed with small fiber neuropathy and test showed degenerative nerve damage, I stopped taking statins years ago, but the SFN still with me unfortunately. Does the scots doc have any info or did any research on SFN from statin use?

very good to hear about the over prescribing. i watch people close to me taking way too many and Im sure the doctor just rubs his hands together as people come in to the practice. Its called practice for good reason.
