All good points. However when you say "Cut carbs, especially sugar." it has to be realised that ALL carbs are in fact sugar as they are digested. Starch is simply concentrated sugar. Glucose is C6 H12 O6, starch a polysaccharide (=many sugar) is typically C6 H10 O5 and the digestion of starch makes glucose. Bottom line is therefore, if you want to remove sugar from your diet, don't eat carbohydrates at all.
